BLOGWORTHY WORK

The definition of BLOGWORTHY WORK: Work produced by a student outside of school that promotes learning about a topic that interests the student. The final product provides evidence that the student has learned facts or concepts about a topic. The product may be anything the students chooses.

The key ingredient in Blogworthy Work is intrinsic motivation that causes the student to create a product based on something they learned because they went in search of the answer.  By: Janice Abernethy

Posts with BW at the beginning of the title are students' blogworthy work.

Can We Find Chlorophyl?

Students place green leaves between paper and paper towels. They use a
hammer to hit the paper towel and chlorophyl oozes out of the leaves!

Educational Gardening

What if we did something like this with our habitat?
What if we cleaned it up, organized it, and labeled all the plants and trees?
What if we made paths and gave tours?
What if we could pass it on to kids in the future?

Welcome!

Welcome to “Our Nature Notebook!” We’re a group of curious 4th graders, led by Mrs. Robison, and every week we get a special visit from Mrs. Abernethy, who’s an expert at guiding us through exciting science adventures. This year, we’ll be diving into the wonders of nature—plants, animals, and so much more! Join us as we explore and share our discoveries right here on the blog. Don’t forget to follow along so you won’t miss any of the fun!
